There were a few other people apart from Bex we wanted to surprise, so Bex drove us into town so we could go to the Reef. At first we thought Dave wasn't there but he was tucked away on the sofa. We swindled a free can of drink from him, and then went to look round. A French guy called Joe was still there, preparing what looks like it would have been a really nice meal for everyone. Apparently there are a couple of really good cleaners at the moment so the kitchen looked quite good.
Next we went into Hogs Breath, as Allen had offered to buy us lunch. We surprised Dan and Chante who were just finishing off the lunch shift, but there weren't that many people we knew that still work there. Bella and Chats weren't working that night and Brenton is away in Bali, so it was only Josh and Emilie K to surprise by going in later.
There aren't that many places that stay open between the busy periods of lunch and dinner, but me and Alice were craving sushi paradise, so we went along with Allen, Dan and Chante, and I had a lobster roll, salmon and avocado roll and barramundi roll. Alice somehow managed to have 4, and wanted to get cake on the way home as well! We popped by to Woolworths so she could get some lemon muffins, and then had a cup of coffee at Trish and Grant's, before getting picked up by Allen again, who was on his way to pick Fernando up to go bowling (we were offered tickets to go with them, but we wanted to go to Hogs Breath for our last dinner). I ordered a few cocktails (well I got one of them free) and had my last Aussie Lite medium rare with fries and salad, whilst Alice tried the Lemon Myrtle Salmon she had always wanted to try but hadn't before. Sammi had been a bit slack when he was on grill whilst we were working there, but the steak he cooked for me was really good... I'll miss the 18 hour slow cooked steak! Despite being really full (since we had eaten lunch so late) we felt compelled to share one last mud cake too. Alice was feeling unwell, so didn't come back to Dan's with me like we had planned, but stayed at Trish and Grants house because Katie had gone to sleep. It wasn't the wild night out I had thought we would be having, but it was nice to catch up with Dan and meet a few of his housemates. His house is pretty similar to Inkerman road in the respect that it's loads of backpackers living in one house.
