The girl who does the breakfast told me she was leaving, so I spoke to Erin about taking over her job- this means I could have continued to stay here with Alice and Bex, and keep more of my wage for savings. However we couldn't wake Alice up for her housekeeping shift, and so Erin told her she couldn't stay here as a paying guest, which is a bit steep, as surely she would want the money? But Alice is now staying in a hostel more centrally located, which I think she's a bit gutted about as she doesn't want to be on her own.

I was in town super early for my shift, so had a chocolate bar and a coffee beforehand as I was a bit shaky. I had been practising my spiel to the mirrors in the morning, whilst cleaning, and, although it was different actually saying it to customers, I think I've got the hang of it. Josh and Alan (Manager and Franchisee) are both very nice and friendly. I'm starting to really enjoy working there, although the online training they've given me (which I get paid an hours wage to do, if completed within the first week) is taking a long time! I made a bit of a mistake by asking a table whether they wanted to see the desert menu, when they hadn't had their mains yet, and I was confused as to why Brooke was serving them, because I had thought it was in mine and Anna's section, but apart from that I think things went OK. In my lunchtime shift, a girl who may be Josh's girlfriend asked if I was a dancer, because I held myself well apparently! The kitchen put out some mashed potato at the end of my evening shift, so I was happy about that, although it was a bit bland and tasteless and needed more Dianne sauce to go with it!
