I helped Alice do some cleaning, so she could finish in time to meet Josh and Laura for breakfast at Lillypad café. The chef (who also works at nomads) gave me my breakfast for free- I had dragon fruit flavoured water and 'Babushka'- toasted Turkish bread, topped with tapenade, avocado, tomato and cheese, very yummy! Alice had a lime, mint and apple smoothies and a burrito, Josh had a cooked breakfast and Laura had eggs benedict.
Me and Alice went to Tribal Travel, and Ezzy gave us loads of leaflets for some really cool sounding stuff which has got us all excited again. We went bed after we got back, she was tired from the night out before and I felt really strange from being sunburnt.
Bex came into town, and we went to the free gig at Fogarty Park. It was part of Cairns festival, and Zennith Boyz (one of the supporting acts for Julian Marley) were playing. We saw a couple of music artists, and an aboriginal dance show (which nearly got sabotaged by a drunkaboriginal woman). The guy presenting the whole thing got the kids to sing 'Gammon Style' to the tune of Gangnam Style (I'm guessing Gammon is an aboriginal word). He also used the word deadly a lot; if something was deadly it meant it was good, like how people would use the word sick. Zennith Boys' set started off a bit mellow and I was worried that I'd got Bex and Alice all hyped for them and they wouldn't turn out to be as good as I remembered, but their tunes got more livelier as the set went on, and by the end we were all dancing at the front with some people that were there from the hostel. I had been debating whether or not to party tonight, but they played a song which went 'I want to party, you want to party, we want to party' and so that made my mind up for me. I didn't recognise any of their songs from before though.
Bex drove home, but the hostel lot went to get some booze to drink on the esplanade, before heading back to the hostel.
