After my lunchtime shift, I met Alice and other hostel people at the lagoon for a few hours- I can't believe it was so hot at 4.30 pm when it is supposed to be winter!

Dane had text me that the circus is on and made me walk up the road to see- it wasn't set up yet but I got to see some of the animals, like camels and donkeys and sheep.

Had a short game of outdoors badminton that someone had brought and left at the hostel, although my racket head kept flying off the handle- apparently my tactic was to knock the opposition out. One of my opponent's was a guy from Canada who had taught English to Korean children. Apparently they study pretty much all day, and primary school is 7 days a week! They rarely get free time and are excited when they get the chance to play baseball for 30 minutes.
