Tonight we went out for a Balinese meal to celebrate Bex's birthday. The table was booked for 8, and so I had to clean quite quickly so I could sneak off early from cleaning the bathrooms (although it normally takes less than the 3 hours it's supposed to anyway). Everyone else had the banquet meal, but that was $45, so me and Alice had a la carte. I had fried noodles, fried egg, sate (including a beef one I think, which I ate because I was so hungry!) and fish, and Alice had a tofu laksa type thing. Because the banquet had so much in it, I got to try out some of the stuff from it, like the seafood soup, chicken soup, and the green pancakes stuffed with coconut. Also ate quite a lot from the fruit platter, including a passion fruit which is the first time I'd tried it. Barry's Dad grant told me about a fruit that you bake in the oven and it tastes like a chocolate pudding but it counts as one of your 5 a day! What a miracle fruit! We went out to P.J. O' Brien's, and saw some people from the hostel who were going to the Woolshed, so we joined them.
