I worked the morning shift, but Bella was returning the favour for my evening shift, so since Dane also had the night off we decided to go for attempt two for the Ducks Nuts pizzas. Dane had told me about this half-built castle on top of a hill near Trinity Beach which had been left incomplete due to it sinking into the ground during building. Apparently he had gone and climbed up the driveway before as a child, and the views up there were really good, so we got off the bus early to walk to where it was, but unfortunately the driveway had been blocked off by a gate which said 'no entry' and 'trespassers prosecuted', which was a shame because it sounded like one of those things that you only find out about because of locals.

I got a tandoori chicken pizza (with bacon, avocado, cashew, and mozzarella) and a banana, maple and pecan pizza, and Dane got a Mexican Kiwi (Cajun lamb, lemon juice, jalapenos, garlic, mozzarella, onion, capsicum and aioli). We got the bus to the beach and ate them there. The syrup from the dessert [pizza leaked everywhere and went all over my jeans and flip-flops. The tandoori chicken one was really tasty, and I liked avocado as a pizza topping, but the other two were a bit of e let-down. I wanted to make a second attempt at climbing the palm tree in the dark (i.e. with no cocky kids around) and I succeeded despite the fact there was a wedding reception occurring at the time watching over me.
