Today's success was managing to get my hands on the last Banoffee pie Easter egg for $9- half price!

Today's fail was pretty much my entire lunchtime shift- I really didn't have my brain switched on for some reason! I forgot to put a customer's order through, then out it through wrong, then when I changed the docket so that they would pay the right price I forgot to hit the 'don't print' button so that the correct item on the bill got sent to the kitchen to be made. I was training Brenton on how to open and close, but didn't realise until I'd pretty much finished opening (because I get in quite early to give me time to have a coffee), but he seemed quite tired and not paying much attention anyway.

When I came back, Stacey had woken up in a really bad mood so we had one of her cookies in pity of ourselves (because I was feeling like I was rubbish at my job).

My evening shift went a bit better- apart from it was quite busy and Josh wanted us to settle our own bills which meant there was even more to do.

There is a new night porter, Christina, who has been put in our room. Stacey is angry about this as it means when Christina gets phone calls from people in the middle of the night, we'll also get woken up (the old night porter had his own room so that this wouldn't happen) and it's a bit weird that he's put her in a room with no windows, and so no natural light- it would be quite hard getting out from a bunk bed in the pitch black to attend to middle of the night arrivals!
