I really enjoyed being able to have a lie in today- I woke up at 9 so that I could get my free pancakes (Adam's pancakes are the best made yet, sorry Bex!) and then went back to sleep and luxuriously slept in until 12. When I got up I headed to Rusty's fruit and veg market (becoming a weekly habit) and brought mangosteens (inspired by a girl eating them today at breakfast), achacha, and longans. I tried a mantissa, but it wasn't that impressive- it just tasted like mango but the huge stones meant you didn't get much flesh. I then went to get some pens, as their not provided at work, and I lost the one I nicked from the bank.
I had never gone through the gate that leads to our pool before, but if you saw a picture of it, you'd think we were staying in a posh hotel! I didn't g o in, but sunbathed whilst talking to Duncan (probably in his 60's, from Tasmania) and Jake (an Australian chef, about 35, who has a 13 year old daughter). The sun made my brain feel a bit frazzled whilst working. I was training a new girl called Bella.
