Today was an excellent day for getting free food; Dane made me a bacon and egg sandwich, Emilie (the Swede) invited me over to her hostel to make Pad Thai, my kids pasta I claimed as my free meal from work was turned into a bit of a glorified version (nicer sauce, and with leftover chicken) and then Alana, Josh's fiancée, persuaded him to let me and Alice share a free mud cake. He also gave me a vodka and coke!

I had wanted to contribute an Asian style dessert for Emilie and mine's little dinner party, so walked via Rusty's and brought two pots from 'Asian style food and dessert'- one was black sticky rice with taro (which was in a creamy salty sauce which wasn't very good) and one was taro and sago- it looked like little fish eggs or something, and tasted a bit like jelly.
