Our new room is pitch black, and so it was lucky that I decided to get dressed in my bunk bed (which wasn't the most logical thing to do as I can't sit up without hitting my head) because then my eyes could get accustomed to the fact that there was someone extra sleeping in our room on an air bed. It turned out it was Annie, a girl who is causing a bit of a fuss about moving to the Beach House from the Reef. The other day she was unnecessarily panicking about nothing because Stacey (our room-mate) had been offered a new work for accommodation role at Waterfront (where Alice is staying) and then turned it down and told Annie about it. Annie had work at the motel in a few minutes (owned by Dave, the owner of all these places) and so was panicking about getting in touch with Waterfront.
Dave told Bex off yesterday morning for eating whilst cleaning, so whilst the breakfast things were out, I filled up loads of Tupperware for my breakfast later. My weet-bix went a bit weird after being in the fridge for a couple of hours, but I microwaved it which was quite nice.
Me and Bex went to Coles, the supermarket, and she brought a peach and, whilst eating it, remembered she was allergic to them.
I wasn't put down on the roster to work today but Josh called me up and asked if I could. He had said that he might have because he was expecting the Hogs Breath inspector to come today. The inspector wasn't there but he just needed more staff. It's quite a coincidence as when he does come, I need to wear longer shorts/ jeans and Amanda (someone at the hostel) had given me a pair of jeans that neither she nor her friend could fit into. They didn't fit me so well after my big bowl of rice and broccoli though!
When I finished work, I had a text from Alice telling me it was empty in Tandoori Oven (her restaurant) and that I should come for a curry. I did pop in although couldn't justify spending money on a naan when I really wasn't feeling hungry, although I think changing out of my tight jeans in their toilets made me have a change of heart as once I was round the corner I tried a Vietnamese cold roll (Emilie the Swede, from work, had had one the other day and I was intrigued).
I was a bit annoyed as I was supposed to watch Taken at Eddie and Aron's, and so when Josh asked if I wanted to leave after my 2 hours, I said yes, but they were out and I didn't hear from them, so could have stayed on and earned some extra money!
