Helped Penny with the breakfast today- so much better than cleaning toilets! So much more sociable and less sweaty and you get the bonus of eating as much toast as you want, and getting to keep the crusts that would otherwise be thrown out, although you don't get to keep left toiletries from the bathrooms.

We were supposed to be seeing Katie (Bex's cousin) today, after she had finished reading at Millie's school, but she must have been caught up in something as she never texted. Met Alice from Tribal Travel (they have free internet use), so I used their toilets, where they had gossip magazines! So discovered news that Katie Holmes has been sleeping with a married man, and Posh and Becks have adopted a black child.

Bex wanted some food so we went to Cairns Central after discovering the place that does Jaffles (toasted sandwiches) was closed. There were buy one get one free muffins, so I got a parmesan sundried tomato and olive one, Alice got a banana and honey one, and Bex ate a raspberry one and I carried her blueberry one back to the hostel for her.

Bex had to go to work, but Aaron (some guy who lived here, and then moved into a shared house) invited us to his for a BBQ. I had said I'd get Fran (our room-mate) and Bex's dinners so thought I may as well eat mine instead, but went back to his for an hour or so before going to bed, as was quite tired from the weekend.
