Now that Stacey has left, and Dave, the manager, is in charge, there have been a lot of unpopular changes. People have been dropped as work for accommodation staff, some people have had to move to the Beach House (another of his hostels, and where the free BBQ is held), we're supposed to be moving rooms on Monday, and the worst one for me and Bex is that there is no longer 2 morning cleaning staff on duty (i.e. one person is supposed to now do the jobs that 2 did previously). I was supposed to clean all the bathrooms, the kitchen and mop and sweep all the common areas in 3 hours, but I took 4 hours and left some jobs off.

After that, I went to the fruit and veg market, and brought some crunchy persimmons - according to a website I just looked at "the smooth, custard-textured flesh closely resembles sweet bananas and mangos". I also brought some broccoli, carrots and bananas as I feel my diet is lacking nutrition at the moment.

After work, I went to Gary and Eric's house for a bit. Alex (another old staff member of Nomads) was back from Airlie Beach, so it was nice to see him back. I ate some of their Eucalyptus chewy sweets.
