I still woke up to do the cleaning today, since I didn't think anyone would know who was doing it, and sure enough I was the only one who got up. Brent said Dave had changed the roster around, so when I went to see if I could do my Thursday shift on Friday, he asked where all the banter was, and hello's and how are you's. Then he asked if I was still annoyed at him changing the roster (which is a bit of an indicator that it was to just piss us off). He said he wanted happy and motivated staff, so I said that maybe to motivate us he could actually tell us we have done a good job for once, instead of always criticizing, and he claimed that he did tell us when we did a good job, and that he was showing his appreciation by buying me the baking trays (although I'm sure he just wanted some of the muffins). He said that the baking stuff was all mine, not the hostels, and so when I asked if I could take them with me when I leave he replied I could. He obviously doesn't think I will take them, because what does a backpacker in a campervan need them for, but I'm going to take them anyway because he just talks rubbish.
We weren't as busy as Josh thought we were going to be- he thought all the sailors from the US navy ship would come in after they were allowed off the boat, especially as he treated the captain to a free steak yesterday, but it was pretty quiet.
