As well as getting a total of $20 in tips at lunch, I also made an extra $50 in between my lunchtime and evening shift by 'tutoring' Elliot, Allen's son. I say 'tutoring' because I don't think I was that much help since I was unsure of some of the answers myself- I don't envy Australian school children- the material is things I'd done at university!
When I had finished work, I had a text from Alice saying that their team in the Woolshed Trivia quiz had come first and so they had won a $100 prize, which they spent on vodka for the hostel, although by the time I had managed to get a clean cup, the vodka had already gone (there was a fair few people to share it out between) so I had to hobble to the bottle shop to get some alcohol with 12 minutes until it shut- for some reason my legs really hurt and meant I couldn't run. Guy organised a limbo tournament which both me and Alice entered- the winner was an insanely bendy German guy. We went back out to the Woolshed, and it was a really good night because there were a lot of people out and everyone was really happy because of winning the quiz.
