For the first time since we arrived Hannah actually had to wake me up this morning! It was a good job she did as I think I would have slept the whole day! Dragged myself out of bed with the biggest hangover ever and packed the last of my stuff whilst Hannah went to school to pick up the remainder of the money which was owed to us. Because of the amount of stuff we had we decided on a taxi to the youth hostel in Beijing where we were both staying the night. Stopped off at the school en route to give in the keys and say goodbye to Miss Cao, then we were off. Got to the hostel okay and checked in, then I had to go to the Vietnamese Embassy to pick up my passport. Unfortunately I don't know what I was thinking, but I got totally the wrong subway stop and by the time I remembered, it was too late! Went to find food and then back to the hostel to get ready for our night out at the Peking Opera. It was an interesting experience - I was glad we had chosen the abbreviated version and only had to sit there for an hour - talk about sounding like cats being strangled!! Stopped at Wangfujing Food Market on the way home for what turned out to be some very expensive street food and then to the hostel.
