Felt really rough this morning but dragged myself into work. The trouble with feeling ill when you're teaching is that you still have to stand up in front of 50 kids and be enthusiastic about what you're doing - at least when I had an office job, I could just hide away in a corner and ignore everyone else!! Plus work colleagues tend to have a bit more sympathy - the kids just use it as an excuse to push things just that little bit further! It seemed like a long day, and I think the lowest point was in the last lesson when my patience was really running thin and I told one girl that if she didn't put her knitting away I would unravel it! Luckily I don't think she understood what I was saying as it sounded pretty lame with hindsight!! Made it through the day and went home to bed.
