Had to go back to the visa centre this morning to collect our passports so we hired a cab to take us all the way so we didn't lose the whole day. Got the bus to Leshan this morning to go to the PSB to get our visa's extended. It looked as if I wouldn't be able to get mine converted into a tourist visa there and that I would have to leave the country and return, but in true Chinese style by asking enough people you eventually find someone who can do it for you!! From here we got a cyclo out to the Grand Buddha site and visited the biggest Buddha in the world - it was incredible and set in lovely grounds. ...

Arrived at Emei absolutely exhausted from an uncomfortable night on the train and ended up getting taken by touts to the Guest House we requested - Teddy's. We then had to make out we weren't happy with the rates until the touts left and we could get the best possible price!
