Got into work this morning to find 2 students at my desk wanting me to help them with an essay the had to write for a United Nations group. The subject was "Sustainable Development of Megacities" - one had to write about Sri Lanka and the other Portugal. Having read through the documentation they gave me I was astounded at the level - even I had to look up some of the words! But it was quite interesting and so I spent my lunchtime researching it and writing some notes for them. This afternoon I met with 2 of the teachers at school who want me to help their sons be top of the class in English! They are about 12 years old and the parents just want me to go over what they have been learning in school. Seems quite easy so I have arranged for them to come around each Friday evening for an hour. This evening we went to food street for some food and a few beers. Ended up getting completely ripped of with a bill for 87 yuan! I'm sure they charged us for someone elses bill as it usually comes to about 30. Tried to complain but of course they had no idea what I was saying although I'm sure they got the gist just looking at my gestures!!
