Had a phone call from Casey this morning to say that she had been to the train station to try and get the tickets. She had queued for a hour at the tickets for foreigners counter, then been told she needed to go to a different desk. She went to the other desk, queued for another half an hour only to find no one could understand what she wanted! So we still don't have tickets for Xi'an!! It was a miserable day here so I stayed in and sorted out all my pictures. This evening we decided to go back to the hotel we had been staying in to have dinner. We managed to order about 5 dishes through a mixure of pointing at pictures and broken Chinese, and it was all really good! We'd ordered extra dishes to allow for us getting a couple of duff ones so we ended up with far too much food!
