Woke up this morning to find it had snowed overnight which made the students very excitable in lessons. One of the Chinese teachers came to see me just before lunch and asked me to swap with him in the afternoon - at least I thought that was what he said but I wasn't quite sure until I actually arrived and found the class didn't have a teacher. In one of my classes, I told the joke "What can you make but you can't see" and one of the students said "love"!! The whole class erupted into laughter. I wasn't sure if she (or the rest of the class) knew why they were laughing, but I didn't want to find out and moved very swiftly on to give them the correct answer of "noise". I got told just as I was leaving that there is going to be a science exam for the next 2 days and so I could have the days off. I can't believe that they organise these things at such short notice! It's nice to have the time off, but too late for me to cancel English Corner and my Private Tutoring so I can't go away! Went to Big Pizza tonight to celebrate payday.
