Got up and got a taxi to the museum marking the spot of the home of the Communist Party for a period of time during the second world war. It was a little unexciting but luckily not too big and we were able to get round it fairly quickly! Went for lunch in a typical chinese backstreet restaurant and then got a taxi down to the South wall. Hired bicycles for an hour and cycled the entire circuit of the wall at great speed as we had to get back, pick up our stuff...

Spent a couple of hours on the internet this morning catching up on a few things then went to organise the room for an extra night. Unfortunately they didn't have a room for tonight but organised a cab and some help to move all our stuff to their sister hostel. Got to the airport for 8:30 this morning for a 9:30 flight only to find that the plane was delayed because of fog. Luckily the airport was really nice and so we sat around and read for most of the day until we finally got to take off at 3:30. The flight was only an hour and we were able to pick up a shuttle bus to the city centre. Went to a hostel recommended to us by the German guy we had met on the cruise and managed to get a room.
