The first day of 'Golden Week'. This is the name given to the week given off to celebrate the National Day of the People's Republic of China (Oct 1st). It's only officially 3 days off but generally people work one of the surrounding weekends in order to get a full 7 days off. Spent most of the day doing chores and preparing for my trip to Xi'an. Hannah went into school for her lesson, but they'd forgotten to tell her that all the lessons had been moved forward an hour and therefore she had missed it! This afternoon we went for a walk and explored another new area which we hadn't been to before. We found a sports stadium, several KTV places (karaoke) and a huge outdoor market!
