My first lesson wasn't until 11:15 this morning but I wanted to catch up with the Senior Grade 2 Head of English, Mrs Liang (English name Sarah) today and so I went in at 9:00 hoping to catch her on a free period. Unfortunately she didn't have any but I arranged to meet her in the afternoon. Had my worst lesson yet this morning, as one of the Chinese teachers decided to sit in and couldn't understand why I wouldn't use her register. It took me a good 5 minutes to explain that her register was in Chinese characters and I actually couldn't understand any of it!!! Anyway, one this was understood we moved on okay. Meet with Mrs Liang this afternoon who told me what they were hoping I would tech the students over the next 4 months. It's good becuase it gives me a topic for each of my lessons, but I think they're being a bit optimistic about the amount of vocabulary I can cover in 45 minutes a week! Another lesson this afternoon and then Hannah and I treated ourselves to a Big Pizza buffet - just like the Pizza Hut one but with free Beer and Wine as well! All for about 3 pounds 50!
