A slow start but then got myself into gear and caught the bus to Beijing. The young children raced to get on the bus with me and then came and sat next to me. They were really sweet and spoke really good English as they informed me they had just been to school for an English lesson! Walked to the Sanitan area from Dongzhimen as I wanted to look for walking boots. I am hoping to go to Harbin in a couple of weeks time, and need to be properly equiped as it is -20 there at the moment! From here I got the subway to my hostel in Wangfujing and checked in before having a coffee and taking a walk around the shops here. Meet Hannah and her parents outside the theatre where we were all going to see the Acrobatic show. The show was pretty good - it was a kind of low budget version of Cirque Du Soleil. Most of the props looked like they'd been made with odds and ends from someones garage, and the use of a safety rope was sparce, but some of the things they could do were very impressive.
