Good classes again today - we are racing through the boring poetry stuff now so that we can get onto the Christmas activities. The giving of presents was again generally sucessful although I did have another student draw a pile of 'pooh'!! I had one yesterday, but he was a troublesome student - today it was Cameron who has been up until this point been one of my favourites - I even gave him a speacial name - I was quite upset and didn't know if I should be pleased that he could say it in English!! This evening we were invited to Miss Cao's for dinner. I had assumed that she lived with her parents in a farming area, but it turned out that she lived in swanky apartment in Huairou! It was massive and very modern bar a few items including a coffee table / lampstand which had a red and white basket ball clock surround in the middle of it! She kept telling us how the food was simple because she didn't know how to cook without meat - but it was really nice. She had drafted in some man to help her with the cooking, but he went to use the computer whilst we ate as he couldn't speak English. We couldn't quite work out the relationship between them - I asked if he was her boyfriend and she said not at the moment but he might be in a couple of years!!
