Went into school a bit early today to see if I could try and find my post - I have been waiting on a couple of letters for about 4 weeks now! I'd asked a few people last week and been assured that they hadn't arrived but in China I'm never sure if a) they've understood the question and b) they've checked in the right place - so I thought I'd try again! I spoke to Charlie who picks up the post each day and asked him if he could ask the post staff to let him have any letters they can't read (being in English). He promised he would but said the problem was probably at the sorting office - because hardly anyone can read English they wouldn't be able to read the address and the letters will probably hang around for a while until someone who can read them directs them on! Great!! When I turned up for my lesson this afternoon I only had 2 students!! They had all been to the hospital for their medicals and so came back in dribs and drabs throughout the lesson. It was nice teaching with a smaller number - you could actually feel you were making progress! Went for noodles tonight.
