Arrived in China this afternoon. I really can't believe how smoggy it is - I know everyone talks about it but it's so hot yet not sunny at all. Decided I couldn't afford hotel food (got to get into this travelling lark!) so ventured out of the hotel to find some food. It was third time lucky in finding a english menu and then someone who could help me locate something vegetarian - in the end they made me a special meal which I proceeded to take several hours to eat - better practice with the chopsticks!!!
