Day 157: 6/6/13
I was back with the 3/4 class again this morning. They had writing first and they had to write about what being an Australian means to them. They were fairly good for it, except for the one lad again, who did nothing. Then they had a map reading exercise which they did well aswell. After lunch they did maths. They had to work in groups to think of ways that fractions are used in real life- they didn't think of many! Then they went to Chinese and I went to a 1/2 class where they were doing investigations, basically just playing! I was bored for the hour, just watching them play with bricks!! In the last hour of the day, everyone in school mixed up into groups with children from prep to 6. The year 5's had to lead the activity so I didn't need to do anything. They had to draw a map of the junior area as they are going to be having a treasure hunt this evening.
I didn't have too much to do this evening. I read a book for a little while. Then I'd a few things to do on the laptop- like get some information about Ireland ready for tomorrow as the teacher doesn't have too much work left. All of a sudden it was half ten and time for bed again! Only one day of work left and then I'm off until September!! It feels a bit like Christmas Eve!!
