Day 83: 24/3/12
It was nice to have a sleep in this morning, even though I woke early enough. I'll be looking forward to next weekend with four days off!
After a lazy morning, Laura and I went into the main square in town, Fed square, where there was a multicultural festival on. There was some music an dancing but the bit we saw was fairly bad- like a bad Eurovision entry!! They had lots of food stalls though where you could buy food from different countries. We had an empanada from South America and then some Indonesian vegetables and rice- they were lovely!
We were intending on getting some ice cream then but the ice cream stall was sold out! So we went back to that Irish pub we were in a few weeks ago and had a drink and shared some dessert. A man with a guitar started singing so we had to get another drink and listen to him for a while! He sang Spancil Hill, Carrickfergus, Clare Island... And loads more. He sang a few that sounde familiar but we couldn't hear the words right so we couldn't figure out if we knew them or not.
We went back home then and watched some tv. Then I Skyped home and was chatting to Mam and Dad. The main news was Daddy's gold success- he'll be taking on Rory McIlroy yet!!
I emailed a few more people about accommodation so we'll have to see of they answer. I think at this stage I'm going to have to move to a hostel as people don't want to rent a room to someone that's only staying short term and the longer I'm looking the shorter the time I'll be renting is getting. There wouldn't be great comfort or privacy in a hostel but then it would be more social and I wouldn't need to pay a big bond. So tomorrow now I just need to pick a hostel I think and move to it. I can always change hostels if I'm getting sick of a place or book a private room for a night or two if I get sick of sharing or something.
