Day 102: 12/4/13
Today Andrew and amber were both sick supposedly. I know for a fact that Andrew had an interview for another door to door job, not selling electricity. Amber was going to the doctor supposedly and meeting us on turf. She could have been looking for another job aswell for all I know! So it was just Malou and I in the morning. We could actually talk this morning as Chloe didn't have music blaring.
I got about 10 bills today. I'd say it was the most bills I'd ever gotten, but I only sold 2, which was better than yesterday but still not great. The firsy Guy I sold was an easy sale as he was originally from Western Australia and had been with Alinta there and was happy with them. He was with Energy Australia now and was having various problems trying to get his gas bill posted out, so he was happy to change!
The second Guy was from France. He was in his fifties but already retired for some reason. He was in a tiny little house, watching CSI DVDs for the day. I felt sorry for him. He was going to save money by swapping over so he was happy enough. It sounded like he'd changed before and was delighted with this one that he'd have no exit fees so he could leave again for free!
The last few evenings it's been dark when we've finished because of the time difference. I've been getting bitten alive in that last hour every evening- I've bites all over my foot. Lots of the others are the same too! I text Laura to see if I could call over this evening as the Anthisan had arrived over to her house and the bites were driving me crazy!
She was there alright and I stayed for a good while drinking a glass of wine and chatting. We were mostly talking about teaching over here, her job being lost in Sonna, whether she'll still have a career break or not. It's all up in the air which is a real nuisance for them. It was after midnight when I left there. There's a tram outside her house anyway that brought me all the way to the hostel so that was handy!!
