Day 100: 10/4/13
100 days gone in the year already!
I found it awful hard to get up for work again this morning!! It's amazing how one lazy week makes you tired again!!
At training this morning they were telling us how they can see exactly how many doors we knocked now with the iPads and most of us aren't knocking enough doors! Technology is amazing but freaky! One guy got 7 sales yesterday however he's doing it! Some guys are all about the sale anyway and just lie to make the produce sound good!
We had no fainting or drama or anything on the way to turf today, thankfully! I got three bills in the first three houses. I didn't get the sale but at least I got the bills! I did get a sale shortly after. That lady was on high rates from Origin so definitely allinta will be cheaper for her. The gas wasn't going to be cheaper so she wasn't keen on that, but at least I got the electricity!
I had lots of do not knock stickers so had a little break for a while where I had no more turf until Chloe gave me more turf.
I went back to a house then that the woman had wanted the offer but the husband would be home later. The husband wanted to sign aswell as they were only on a 3% discount and ours was 15%. So they were going to save. Their rates were no better either. We got it all filled out and signed on the ipad, after a while trying to get the signature part working. Then on the verification call the husband decided to tell them that he couldn't hear and wanted his wife to speak. They hadnt said that to me beforehand so then I had to add her on the account so that she could talk. The person on the phone was English and the customers were from Peru. Even though they could understand me perfectly she couldn't understand the girl on the phone. So we had to ring back. In te meantime the husband had to collect someone and when we rang back they wouldn't put it through if the husband wasn't present as he was the first one they spoke to! I was going to give up at that stage as I was nearly an hour there and I wasn't sure they'd understand the next call either! They speak really quick on the phone and phrase all the questions weirdly! But eventually the husband came back, we rang again and they spoke to the wife and there was no problem! It was the longest sale I ever had!!
I knocked a few more doors then but it was almost time to finish anyway. It takes ages for everybody to get to the office and then we were locked out. We were waiting for someone to come back so we could plug in the iPads and leave in the shirts but eventually Chloe said we could go and she'd put them in.
It is always after 8 when we get back so pretty late! I didn't do much for the evening. Annmarie sent a text to say we are losing the post in Sonna so I don't know what that will mean for Laura. Also got an email of a form to fill out for the payment section of the new company or something so had to get that printed at reception- there's always something!
