Day 106: 16/4/13
No call this morning! I got up at half six and readied myself. I got everything ready except for actually getting dressed! I went down and ha my breakfast at 7 and rang them to say I was available. I sat on the bed for a while looking up stuff on the internet. the stuff in Boston is worrying. By 8:30 when there was no call I went back to bed. I text Laura and she hadnt gotten work either. I slept until almost 12 and then I was sleepy all day as I had overslept!
I wanted to upload photos and edit the blog and things but my computer wouldn't connect to the free wifi properly. Then I decided to find out about visas for travelling to Vietnam. When I rang Trailinders yesterday they didn't know much about it. It's an intrepid tour that Im going on but it's booked through trailfinders. Intrepid have a shop here so I went there and asked them and they didn't know anything about visas as they just book tours in the shop. I rang intrepids main office and they only know about Australian passports. They said to contact the Vietnamese consulate which I did. I was expecting a message telling me I was at the consulate or a person to say I was through to the consulate but a man just answered shouting hello, hello! I couldn't really figure out what he was saying but as far as I can figure out I have to post my passport to Sydney to get the visa. If I was flying there I could apply for a letter of approval or something on line and that would be enough to have with me. But I'm not flying, Im crossing the border from Cambodia so I need to get one. There doesn't seem to be anywhere I can go to get the visa and I don't really want to post it. I can't post anything yet anyway as I need passport photographs. Never a dull moment!!
I didn't do much else today. I was very bored!! I went for an odd walk around here, read a bit- nothing much! I hope I get some work this week!!
