Day 40: 9/2/13
We got up late this morning and myself and Laura went to a restaurant down the road for breakfast. An Irish lad served us- he spotted us a mile away!
Later we got the Train to Carlton Gardens and walked around there. It was really pretty. We saw about six different weddings- some were just posing for photos, others were having the whole ceremony in the gardens. We saw one ceremony starting with bride been brought down the aisle by her father!
We went to the Fitzroy area then and walked along Brunswick st. It was a real arty kind of place, with lots of interesting little shops so we had a poke around a few of them! We went to an usual Cafe aswell for a drink. Part of the kitchen was in an old bus which was in the middle of the yard where the tables were. The tables were all different and some had tyres and stuff making the table. It was very strange but interesting!
We were supposed to get a train back to Lauras but we ended up getting one to St Kilda, which was where we were going to go for dinner anyway later so we just stayed there. We walked along the beach a bit and then found a restaurant. They were really busy so we booked ourselves in an then went away and had cocktails while we were waiting!! Jamie joined us then for drinks and dinner.
It was a Mexican restaurant and we all got lovely food. I had a quesadilla with goats cheese and beans and really unusual things but it tasted gorgeous. We had to have a margarita seen as we were in a Mexican restaurant but I figured out I don't really like them!
There's load of cafes and bakery's on the Main Street in St Kilda so we bought little slices of cake and went back to their house to eat them with tea and coffee!! Melbourne seems to be mostly about cafes, eating and drinking!!
