Day 110: 20/4/13
I was glad this morning that I didn't have to get up and wait for a call! I wasn't even tired or anything but it was just nice not to be waiting for the call!
I got up and planned to put in a wash while I ate some breakfast. I needed to watch some clothes that I wear for teaching a lot, especially with 3 days j the same school next week!! There are 5 washing machines and 3 were out of order so I had to wait around for about an hour before I could put in a wash! Luckily the laundry area is right beside where the tv is so I was able to sit and watch all the drama in Boston while waiting for the washing machine. It sounds like the investigation to catch the suspect was a success anyway in Boston- lots of very proud Americans on the tv. I was a good few hours sitting there as I had to wait for the washing machine, put them in the dryer and then wait for that!
I was talking to a Swedish guy who is a snowboard instructor so that was interesting! He's soon goin to New Zealand for snow boarding season there. It was interesting because he said they have very little rules and regulations in New Zealand compared to other countries! They don't care if the people get injured on their slopes and don't bother with lots of protective stuff like proper footwear and fences and things. I was thinking of Jenny breaking her ankle over there and was wondering if it would have happened elsewhere!!
When I finally had my clothes back I went to Laura's house and spent the afternoon and evening chatting to her. Jamie came home after a while too and I was with the two of them for ages. We weren't talking about anything in particular- just stuff in the news and teaching over here and stuff.
I got the train back to the hostel and then I skyped Mam and Dad. While I was talking to them the u21's bet Kildare. Alan was over them so I'm sure he was very excited! It seemed like they won well.
