Day 78: 18/3/13
It sounds like St Thomas have a lot of celebrating to do- fair play to them! There must be great excitement. There was an interesting photo on Facebook of two Brigids players kissing on the lips after the match. It looked like the goaly kissing Frankie Dolan- an interesting scene from the gaa!!
I had a good enough day today walking around taking to people but I didn't get any sales. Loads of people have had too many energy people around already and don't even want to listen to you. Other people are interested but want to think about it. Also, the solar people are in credit so they don't care who supplies their electricity! There were a good few people that really seemed interested and took the information Id written but they wanted to look it up later or speak to their husband/wife, etc so they might get back to me later in the week, so maybe a sale will come from one of them. I knocked every single door and pitched as best I could, so I didn't mind too much.
The very first guy that I spoke to, was moving house soon. His wife and daughter were there beside him. He said in their new house they'd have rooms for rent, if I was looking for a place to stay! Ah...... No thank you!! And he didn't even buy anything!!
Another guy seemed to have some kind of speech impediment or special needs but I'm fairly certain he told me to hold on as he was watching something on tv. I waited a few minutes but just went as I don't think he understood anything I said at all!!
The team did better in general today- we got 7. One person sold 2 and the rest sold 1. So, still not any big numbers! A new guy started aswell and he's friends with Doug and Chloe. They were chatting away with Matt aswell. They are all a bit mad or just very immature. I'm not sure which! They like to roar out the window, roar at each other and they all were drinking on the way home this evening. It didn't feel appropriate or very safe. I would have my doubts that some of them have adhd- seriously like! The van journeys today were easily the worst part of the day! Hopefully that won't happen again. It hasn't happened before so it shouldn't happen again. If it does I will be seriously complaining to someone!
It was around nine when I came home so I just had something to eat and watched some tv.
I don't have any more rooms to view yet either so hopefully something will come up.
