I met Amanda and Danny at IKEA, as me and Amanda wanted to get gingerbread dough to make our gingerbread house, and Amanda and Danny wanted to have an IKEA date like they have on 500 days of Summer (apparently Danny's favourite film which you would be surprised at by the looks of him) and so I gatecrasher their date. I had a cinnamon roll and refill coffee and wrote act 1, scene 1 from IKEA; The Musical (Mr G. On Summer heights high writes it and I thought this was particularly funny) whilst I waited, and then they ate some lunch and let me try their almond cake. I wanted to buy some scissors so I could give my hair a trim, and some felt tips as I keep wanting to me arty at the moment, and I really wanted to buy some of the fabric so I could be crafty but this was another occasion, aside from buying Christmas presents, that being a backpacker sucks.
In the grocery store at the end, as well as buying the dough, I also brought some Christmas coke (I don't particularly like it but because once Seb brought some back from the Swedish cafe in Cairns and Amanda had some and said it tasted like grandma and grandpa which has become a bit of a joke) and some pick 'n' mix. Amanda stocked up on Swedish groceries.
I then went back to drop off the dough, and then go to work, where Birren rebelliously gave me a veggie burger (and he and Paddy made burritos without paying for them). Back at home, I watched the last episode of the first season of The O.C. and surprised myself by crying (Alice had warned me I might but I'm not normally one for crying in films).
