I was only working in the night today, and so I think I overslept as I was being very clumsy today. I went with Samia, Victoria, Geoffrey and Valerie to Las Chicas, a cafe near Balaclava train station, and threw my Turkish Apple tea all over myself. I was the only one who didn't order food, but I got to have the rest of Samia's pancakes which she didn't have time to eat before work. They were thick pancakes with strawberries and banana, and the pancakes were quite stodgy but the ricotta and pistachio topping was delicious. I then came back and threw milk everywhere whilst making myself a coffee. Luckily it didn't translate too much into clumsiness whilst I was at work later.
I got Patel to cook me up some of the leftover school prawns from yesterday (as their only available as part of our Monday Good Food Month offer) so I could try what their supposed to taste like. The batter made them slightly more appetising, as did the chilli and lime aioli I dipped them in as I munched them on the way to meet Julia and Liv, two Swedish girls from Sienna. They were with Marco, also from Sienna, and Johanna, one of the other girls Joey had decided to not like and who got fired by him, as well as Johanna's colleague who they had bumped into and a girl from the Netherlands, who I'm not sure how they knew. It ended up being a Sienna b**** fest with the Dutch girl telling us about how well treated all the staff at her restaurant back home were, which made me feel slightly better as I definitely miss the social aspect of working there. Later on Julia wanted to go to Fitzroy to meet up with her man friend and his mates, and so the rest of them (minus Marco who had already left by this point) went with her, although I didn't really fancy spending the money to get a cab there and back.
