It was supposed to be my day off today, but they are making a few changes to the burgers and so they wanted us to come in at 10 to try them, and make notes regarding the changes. Most of the changes I thought made them worse than before- the sesame seeds added to the tuna burger sounds like it would be nicer, but you couldn't really notice the difference, they have taken the sweet chilli sauce out of the fish burger and changed the tartare sauce so that it isn't as mayonnaise-y. The only good change is that they have found an actual veggie burger to use, instead of just using a char grilled bit of aubergine, although they have taken the cheese out of it.
I had a missed call from Vicki during the day, and I was worried it was because she wanted me to work in the evening, but it turned out it was that I had forgotten to fill out the cash up sheet. Then a bit later, Zoe, who was doing a double shift, texted to ask if I would mind swapping her evening shift tonight for my morning shift tomorrow, but then I realised it might work out better that way, as Brenton had been down to Melbourne for the weekend for Stereosonic festival, and wanted to meet up with me and Alice. Alice was working until 10.30, and so it meant that we would both be finished at the same time, and I wouldn't have to worry about having to get up early the next day. I met Brenton at Windsor train station, after I finished work, and then we went for a drink at Three Monkeys, whilst waiting for Alice. I felt like going to Brunswick Street would be a good place to find somewhere to go out, but when we got a taxi there, the driver said "you might find a couple of the bars still open" which didn't sound too promising! We did find a bar, but left fairly early. It was good to see Brenton- he's so funny!
