Lie-in day, finally! I slept until midday, which was too late to meet up with Alice, Mia and Samia for lunch before they went to work. A guy came round from the council (apparently the landlord needs a permit which he doesn't have to rent our rooms out to us) who said that Silvan Lodge used to be a psychiatric counselling ward for children, which I think I prefer to the Care Home theory, as it's less likely someone has died in my room.

I didn't realise that school prawns are supposed to be eaten with the shell on, because they are so small, but I tried them anyway. I didn't think the head added that much flavour to be honest, and it was a bit crunchy in my sandwich.

Me and Arnie went for a drink after we finished work, and he was showing me pictures of the fantastic day he had on Tuesday at the Melbourne Cup- his partner is a fashion designer who was judging the best dressed there, and so he got to meet loads of famous people, including Dita Von Teese, and see loads of beautiful outfits. We were joined by Julia and Liv once they had finished, and went to Blue Bar, where Chuck, from Coco Cubana, recognised me and told me to come in again. I really appreciated Julia telling me that a couple had mentioned to Megan that I was a fantastic waitress- that's the sort of thing the manager's could do with passing on.
