Things were not going right this morning at work-first of all Baker's Delight had made white rolls instead of wholemeal rolls, so I had to text Zoe to ask if she could pick them up tomorrow instead, then I discovered someone had squirted ketchup all over the front of the window, which I had to scrape off with a plastic knife, then scrub at with enzyme wizard and then when I had enough time, clean with window cleaner. I had to print more of the toilet cleaning checklist, but the printer was jammed and when I removed the jam I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the message saying it was jammed. It turned out Paddy had to do front of house yesterday and so he hadn't folded any boxes, so I had a lot to make up, and so ended staying an hour later than I thought I would, because it was fairly busy for a Monday (possibly due to the nice weather). Despite all this, I was still in a really good mood for some reason.
Amanda had signed me up for a free 3 day pass at a gym for fitness classes, so I got the train to the city and met her at Flinders Street so we could go for a yoga class, although the staff seemed a bit rude and non-arsed as if they were expecting us just to use the trial and not sign up for membership (which fair enough was what I was doing, but they could have at least tried to make me change my mind- why offer trials if you don't want people to use them!). The instructor wasn't that great either- she was going to fast so when you were supposed to be deeply inhaling and exhaling, she would be saying inhale and exhale too quickly, and she wasn't explaining what we were supposed to be doing very well so I had to keep looking around to see what other people were doing.
On the way to the fitness club, we passed the Myers shop windows (Myers is a big department store) which had moving figurines which told the story about a gingerbread baby trying to find friends. I found it really odd seeing Christmas decorations when it was such beautiful weather!
When we returned back home, all the Frenchies were having a BBQ, so I had a bit of their salad bread and Alice's veggie burger.
