After Skyping Lucy, I got a few more resumes printed out so that I could target Acland street and Fitzroy Street, which is where the guy behind the bar Alice and Amanda went to suggested to try, although after handing out about 4, I decided I should probably stop since I already had a talk with a girl from Dino's Deli, and three trials lined up, and if anywhere else offered me a trial it might look a bit bad making them wait until I have more free time. I went to Dino's, but she wanted someone for a minimum of 6 months, so went back to St. Kilda to meet up with Alice and Amanda. Amanda was handing out CV's and Alice wanted to find a police station and post office so she can get her CRB check Australian equivalent form signed and posted, since she has an interview with a care home agency tomorrow. We couldn't find either, so decided to go back into town. Along the way we went into STA, and managed to sort out insurance for the time after our original providers won't extend to.
A girl on the tram had said that $14 was about the going rate for backpackers because there's so many, which made me panic into applying online to McDonalds, because I know they would pay minimum wage and have contracted hours, etc.
Inspired by the nice sounding fillings of one of the jacket potato bars I was in on Monday, I had a nice dinner of Tabouleh, sweet potato, tomato and quark cheese.
Alice's friend from the Waterfront text her as he had seen her walk past him the other day, so we met up with him in the backpacker bar 'Turf', as we had got voucher's for a free drink there.
