It was a quiet day at Hooked- I could have finished at 3, but stayed on until 4, so the end half hour was spent just chatting to Avery because he's going to a couple of techno events over the next couple of weeks.
Alice and Mia were supposed to be going for lunch at Veggie Bar, which is a few doors down from Brunswick Street Hooked, but Alice got into town too late to do so before Mia had to start back at work, so I just met up with them for coffee at a cafe called Lands Edge, which was playing quite good hip-hop and had a cool garden- the umbrella's had palm trees painted on them and it had hanging vines.
When Alice had to go to her massage appointment, I went to Chapel Street where I got a coffee from Hungry Jack's and studied my Freud for Beginner's book, before I had work. I felt very tired and felt really guilty about making a few mistakes- a guy had asked for no bacon on his burger, but then we got chatting about one of the Australian Masterchefs' restaurants and so I forgot to say no bacon, and it turned out it was for religious reasons so he couldn't just scrape it off, and then I forgot to put through a chicken parmigiana and by the time I remembered, it was the late night menu which doesn't feature parmas and so the chef refused to make it which seems a bit odd. I also ordered an Oxford Landing red wine instead of an Oxford Landing white wine.
