Me, Amanda and Zachary had a day trip to IKEA today. Amanda couldn't choose between the Swedish meatballs and the salmon so had both, and I had a cinnamon bun and cookie with coffee which only came to $2.50, despite the coffee being priced at $2.50 (I couldn't work it out on the receipt, but I think it was some deal) which you got free refills with so I had a bit of a coffee and sugar high and then low. Amanda brought a throw and we brought some postcards to decorate our room with. Amanda brought some Swedish crisp breads, pick 'n' mix and cardamom crisp breads, and I went a bit crazy with buying different sorts of mulled drinks- I brought mulled red wine, mulled white wine and mulled apple drink, even though it's starting to warm up weather-wise, so it's not going to be as comforting as it is on a cold winter night back at home. Then I decided to buy some of the cardamom crisp breads too, and then in my third transaction at the till I brought some pick 'n' mix too.
On the way back on the tram, there was a slight delay as a girl had been in an accident on the road, and then later on when me, Amanda, Yann and another French guy from our house went to Fitzroy to meet Jo and Luke, her friend from home, we had to get off a few stops early as there was a fire, although when we walked past, there wasn't any traces of a fire. Jo rang and said that she and Luke wanted to get into Laundry before 12, as that's when you start paying entrance fee. We got there with just a few minutes to spare. I was happy that I got to go to Laundry, but because of it being a Saturday they were playing quite commercial hip hop style tracks, as opposed to good hip hop, so probably going on a midweek day would be better, although Fitzroy is quite far to go on public transport.
