I woke up from a dream about Lee Rutter jumping off a really high cliff into a pool, whilst I tried to find 3 x $5 notes which had fallen through the slats of a table I was trying to cash up on (not too sure where the first bit has come from, but the second part reflects on my current state of my I.D- see I have maybe understood my Freud for Beginner's book). In a sleepy state of mind I locked myself out of our room, so felt enormously guilty about making Alice get up from her top bunk to let me back in.
Luckily the morning shift was a lot slower than yesterday, so I could catch up on the boxes from yesterday, and generally not feel as stressed! Vicki brought me a bar of chocolate to say thank you for covering the rest of the shift which was really sweet of her (it probably doesn't make up for how stressed I was, but I'm appreciative of more hours so she definitely didn't need to). Rather than asking me to move out the way, Avery gestured for me to get out the way when he was putting something back in the kitchen which I thought was very rude.
On my break I had a coffee in 'Babka' which I thought looked pretty cool from the outside, as it had Russian dolls painted on it, but wasn't that spectacular. I caught up on my blog, and so then went next door to the frozen yoghurt place... only to take advantage of the Wi-Fi you understand.
It was a much less stressful night tonight, as it was far less busy and the kitchen hand who normally works at Chapel Street was working and so he helped me take out dishes. The glass trays are a bit unbalanced so that if there are too many glasses are at the front, the weight will make the tray swing out and so I broke a few, but other than that it was a pretty good night.
When I got back home, Zac was the only one still awake so me and him watched a bit of TV, and then he cooked me up the rest of his caramelised apple he had made for Amanda which I ate on rice cakes with some peanut butter, but had to endure him trying to make me dance with him whilst he was making them.
