Logging on has been a problem for the last few days and we have experienced very high winds and tides. But hey ho now back on line. Trust that this finds you all well. Any message is appreciated!
Bad week for me. The first to be honest and on Tuesday found me tearful in the VSO office!! But Monday was great, eventually AS Ken an I went to Raikos where he'd not been before. Our recovery school. Boat came early and then no security guard for me. It was then OK'd that Ken was my guard! Don't even go there! Wonderful trip[. OK Jones' most have been awful! But this one well the skipper beached the boat on the shore [first time!] Met by Headteacher and a lady. We started walkingas the tractor was "broken" we say bagarup! It is half an hour walk and up hill and well hot! Half way up Head says "this is my wife come to carry your bags!!!" We deferred being British!.
School looks so good. Am so pleased. This is why I stayed but it could have been awful.
Saw some good teaching and then too soon need to get boat home because of the tides.
Bless them they dropped us at the Lodge!!
The next day was a "free" for me. Arrived to find no vehicles available. Needed to get our artifactsfumigated etc. I ended up in tears in frustration!! Oh dear! Ken says I am tired. Anyway we ploughed on as one does!
I have got wall to wall workshops until we leave! Yes my fault. And today when we met a Head from up North who said "Una can you help me?" Ken is behind shaking his head!!!
But the upside is that I have 3 resources booklets ready for print! I have 3 been told I have over spent my budget though!!!
Monday Ken and I will go to Karkar Islandfor three days and then more workshops. Then hopefully we will go to Simbai and then Aiome our favourtite school who unfortunately have had a problem as one of the female teachers has been robbed.
