We are on our way for our first trip to Malala School up the north road. A lot of the journey the road runs by the sea. As it was Sunday we decided to take it easy and also to go in our car as we have no idea what the accommodation will be like and what is provided for us. Our plan had been to stay the night in the Malolo Plantain Hotel until we saw the price, unusual for us to balk at that I know!! Anyway we set off at 10:30 am and enjoyed the run which we found was shorter than expected to get to the hotel. The setting is the scene for the 1996 production of Robinson Crusoe with the tame Horn Bill around not that we saw it!! It is a lovely setting with the black volcanic sand but the sea was rough as the night before we'd had storms.
Nice lunch and as you can see in the pictures we were forced to drink more of that awful yellow water! More pension bashing. Sunday 2 August 2009
