It's Friday and I've not been in touch for ages. Since being back from Kathmandu it seems to have been all go. Thank goodness we have the car as some of the running around that we've been doing would have taken ages on the local PMV!!!
So both of us are planning workshops/seminars which will be residential and over three days. Ken's is for Heads and Deputies and mine for the Personal Development course that is compulsory in schools.
We've also made a trip to Malala up the North Coast Road which always involves a lunch stop with wine at the Plantation Hotel on the way!! This time I took swim things and apart from a few noisy ankle biters [small kids] it was good.
No more tsunami warnings but loads of rain at night which means that my new lettuce and tomoto seedlings are doubling in size literally overnight!! We've had a couple more strong earthquakes but we've slept through!!
The plane above had it's engine fail at Aiome and so another one had to be flown up!! So we're on it's first trip to Aiome on Monday in it!! We'll fly back on Wednesday and then drive to Brahman for a couple of days.
At the moment we're also working on Christmas travel as Mark and Andrea can't afford the trip. At the moment we're looking at Island hopping to the Solomon Islands and then flying to New Zealand. It was to have been Cambodia but flights are proving difficult. We should be in Fiji for Christmas and then New Zeland for New Year. Our fall back position may have to be some flights between islands. More pension bashing!
The middle of November we go to the Highlands for the Education conference and then we're flying higher up the mountain above Aiome to Simbu for a long weekend. All a bit vague but the local GP is organising it and why we're going beats me but it'll be fun.
So these are our plans until we're back to work on 25 January 2010 when it looks as if we'll be looking after all 8 schools which will be great.
Have a great weekend!
