Snippets! Been out and about so decided that as today is the first day in the VSO office I would send some BLOGS. We may need to tidy the system up so any feedback would be helpful as to me it looks as if we've not updated since we first arrived!

So some random bits and pieces and then a more detailed diary.

Been here nearly 5 weeks and it feels so "normal". UK seems a life time away. We can get just about everything here from every fruit and veg that you can imagine, even asparagus, although slightly looking worse for wear! Not seen strawberries in the market as I think they go straight to the hotel but easily available there.

Some of you know that I love coffeemate and yes it's here with my special brand of coffee although that does come at a price but I'm worth it! Even my favourite wine is here!

Fish is brilliant and last night I cooked Marlin which cost all of about 60p for a huge steak! Tonight it is rack of lamb and tomorrow fillet steak which cost K4 which is about £1.20! Can get chinese leaf lettuce and bok choi etc so am enjoying cooking even on a small cooker that has kust two rings, one of which won't work if the oven is on!

What isn't so good? The one cockroach who sits near the top of the wall, same place each night in the bathroom! The bats, but to be honest they just look like birds so got over that fear now. Also the air conditioning on in the VSO office!!!!! hate it. Oh dear can't think of anything else, will try to so you don't all think we're "on holiday"!!!!
