Logrono to Ventosa
19km. 390 up. 130 down. Chilly when we set it got warmer. High 19 low 9

We set off from our lovely room had breakfast and then set off again. A lovely walk through the huge park on The outskirts of the town

Jeans feet and my knees are a bit challenged. We have a shorter day of 16kms tomorrow then four of 20 plus and two days on Burgos. I am in better health than last time at the same point so here’s hoping.

Was lovely to talk to Alice and the kids they in good form. Ava told me all about replacing a friend’s lost worm a very kind thing to do Ava. Jed got a try and two tackles in league so Tilly told me they went to McDonalds. All normal there.

Hugh is off on a ten day trip to Alice Wills and Dinah. So that will keep him busy and then a motorcycle ride with Tim.

People in our room of 8 seem to be expressing some anxiety about getting places to stay. Many people are booking ahead we have three times when there were few options or a very long walk on to the next town. Hopefully this will settle down Monday as the Spanish holiday will be over.

I have been following our instinct about planning and so far when we have it has been necessary and when we haven’t things have worked out too. I am using a lot more Spanish this time. The people are so patient and kind

Jean has been driven mad by her Spark telephone provider and Ken is also frustrated. Thought we had cracked it today but the office is closed til 8:00 am nz time. It is also closed when we wake. Jean is getting very excited is this the break through.

Breaking news...............it is done. Jean can now roam globally so watch out world.
