Day four zubiri to pamplona

A lovely day for a walk. The evening before was pleasant we sat with Merrill Aus, Lisa Denmark, Philip Belgian. Sumo and Gabby.

Not much sleep. Snoring two women came into the room after lights out and woke me then they were up before dawn with led headlamps packing and rustling for over half an hour.

Wished Tilly a happy birthday she having heaps of fun in Nelson.

Had a couple of false starts but set off 8:45. A lovely day for a walk 10-20 degrees and no rain. Mostly through farmland and forest. Saw apoloosa horses and and some beautiful beef cows.

Struggled a bit today with tiredness and some accumulated aches and pains. Will only walk 12 is tomorrow to try to recover a bit.

Jean has made a difficult decision to dump her perfectly good and quite new but uncomfortable shoes and we went shopping for another pair.
We enjoyed shopping 22 Euros got a great meal and enough for lunch tomorrow.

We shared a fabulous supper of salami cheese salad avocado and cheese. Washed down with hot lemon water.

We have two single rooms in Hotel Eslava for around $70 each. Looking forward to a sleep in. Check out is 12:00pm. Bliss. Love to you all and best wishes Hugh for a successful final night.
